Walter H. and Olive Ann Beech founded the Beech Aircraft Corporation in 1932. Throughout its long history, Beechcraft has produced some of the most popular designs in general aviation. As with many long-lived aircraft manufacturers, Beechcraft has seen some changes in ownership over the years. The most recent occurred in 2007 when Raytheon Aircraft Company became Hawker Beechcraft Corporation. |

The Staggerwing was the very first airplane produced by Beechcraft, and it became a timeless classic. Designed for speed and comfort, the Staggerwing was so fast that it was actually capable of outrunning many of the front-line military fighter planes of the time. |

The Twin Beech must be considered as one of the most successful business aircraft ever produced. Introduced in 1937, the Twin Beech acquired such a reputation of safety, reliability, and ruggedness that it was in production for 33 years. |

With its innovative V-tail design, the single-engine Bonanza set standards of performance and comfort that competitors have been attempting to match for 60 years. Introduced in 1947, the Bonanzas 60+ year (and counting, since it is still in production) production run is unlikely to ever be equaled. |

Once again, Beechcraft set an industry standard with the introduction of the twin turboprop King Air in 1964. The various models of the King Air which are currently in production maintain a better than 90% market share in their class. |
